Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take?
I work primarily with adults who are experiencing change or upheaval in their lives. Short term counselling is for an agreed fixed term and focuses on addressing a particular concern or problem. Longer term therapy involves looking more deeply at underlying patterns and unresolved conflicts, and the work is usually undertaken on an open-ended basis. This style of working is more reflective and may continue until such a time is agreed to bring the work to a close and ensure that proper attention is entrusted to the ending process.
How much will it cost?
My fees are £55 for individuals, and £70 for couples.
I am able to offer concessions in certain circumstances.
How long does a session last?
Individual sessions last for 50 minutes, and sessions for couples are for an hour. Sessions are normally weekly and can be more frequent if required.
What is the first step?
The first step is to arrange an appointment for an initial consultation. This will be an opportunity to meet and discuss your concerns to see whether and how I might best be able to support you. If you wish to continue then we will discuss session times and the way forward. If you decide not to continue I may know of other resources that would be better suited to your needs.
I can be contacted on the numbers below. All lines of contact are confidential, and both phone lines have voicemail.
